From the top of the unit we have a 120VAC power strip for AC power inside the cabinet. Next is a 4-Cavity set of UHF Duplexers mounted above the 443.975MHz Repeater. The repeater is a GE Mastr Exec Mobile conversion with a ICS Controller. The Mastr Exec is a 40 watt unit running 30 watts. Conversion was performed by Henry Hamblin of Hamblin Communications of Corbin, Ky.

The Double-Blade Knife Switch controlls both the DC Power Supply and the Battery Back Up. Our normal power supply is a 208VAC Input with a 13.8VDC/50A Output. To provide un-interrupted Repeater service during power outages, there are two 6VDC/200AH Batteries in place behind the Knife Switch Panel.

Just below the Knife Switch Panel is home to the 147.030MHz Repeater. First we have a SCOM 7K Controller mounted over the Motorola Mitrek Mobile Conversion. The Mitrek is a 110 watt unit running at 45 watts. The tan box houses the volume, squelch controls, PTT disable switch, local speaker, and cooling fans for the Repeater. Below is a set of 4-Cavity Wacom Duplexers.

In the bottom of the cabinet we have the main power supply unit. The power supply is 13.8VDC at 50 Amps supplied by 208VAC. The power supply also maintains a constant charge on the back-up batteries. With this set-up, should there be an outage in AC power, the batteries will provide un-interrupted 13.8VDC to the repeaters. The batteries will power the repeaters for a period of 12 hours of constant transmit time or 48 hours of normal repeater use.

Antennas

The 147.030MHz Repeater feeds a Diamond F23A Mono-Band Repeater Antenna mounted at approx. 185 feet AGL. Connection between Repeater and Antenna is through 7/8" Hardline

The 443.975 Repeater Antenna is mounted at approx. 175 feet AGL feed with 5/8" Hardline.

We also have in place a Opek Dualband antenna on the top of the tower for local or emergency use. This is feed with 1/2" Superflex for min loss.
